How does TraderVerdict score firms?
TraderVerdict applies three independent rubrics — one each for prop firms (16 variables, 6 dimensions), trading platforms (23 variables, 6 dimensions), and brokerages (27 variables, 7 dimensions). The prop-firm composite is led by payout integrity (30%) and rules integrity (22%); the platform composite is led by reliability/uptime (25%) and execution quality (20%); the brokerage composite is led by regulatory standing (35%) and capital safety (22%). Every score is computed from publicly verifiable evidence — including regulator registries such as NFA BASIC — before any commercial contact with the firm.
Are TraderVerdict scores independent of affiliate relationships?
Yes. Scores are assigned before any commercial contact, affiliate links are only added to firms that score above 50, and the score is never adjusted based on commercial agreements. Firms scoring below 50 do not receive affiliate links regardless of commission rates offered. We cross-check regulatory standing against authoritative sources such as the UK's FCA Register so independence is verifiable, not just stated.
How often are firm scores updated?
Scores are re-verified whenever a firm changes its rules. An automated TOS differ runs daily and flags any change. Human review triggers a score update within 48 hours of a confirmed rule change. The verified date on each firm page shows when evidence was last checked.
